Sonnet
By: Learsi Rodriguez
Her name was Dana, born on the first day.
Born on the New Year with a family.
Pretty yes she was, hair the color of hay.
Dana, my baby the pretty Twinkie.
Brightened up my day when I felt alone.
A humans best friend, for she was way more.
On a hot summers day we shared a cone.
I know I will still remember her loud roar.
The memories we had were so priceless.
For she will always be in my red heart.
Gone but not forgotten, she so fearless.
For the god has pulled nosotros apart.
My baby who is now in sweet heaven.
Young she will always be, yes eleven.
